Spent 2 nights here as it's a great location to hit all the nice restaurants/bars of Marlow. There is a lovely river walk along the Thames. The hotel is comfortable welcoming and reasonably priced. We ate at Sindhu Indian restaurant which is located within the hotel. The food is amazing and again reasonably priced for the area. We will be using this hotel in the future on our next trip to Marlow.
Very high standard of service for a change. Been here twice and the first visit we were greeted in the car park by a very friendly man and the rest of the staff are very helpful. Rooms are nice especially the ones looking over the weir and river. Very handy for the town and pubs too.
This lovely hotel restaurant is right on the river Thames bank just across the river from the famous Marlow bridge. The view from the riverside restaurant is stunning. Food is good but not outstanding. Next time we will try the acclaimed Indian restaurant also at the same venue. Our room was large and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Access was a little tricky with lots of stairs and branching corridors. Irritating when your key card doesn't function! You may have breakfast in the room but the view from the breakfast room is well worth it. Breakfast was good and copious with a choice of cooked breakfast or continental.
Beautiful location on the river next to the bridge.Very comfy beds, hot showers and lovely food with super service.Peaceful at night with nice thick curtains leaving you to sleep late in the mornings.Lovely fluffy towels and bath robes for chilling out on the mornings or night...Marlow is a short walk away with quaint shops and nice restaurants.You won't want to leave quickly...
This hotel is justly famous for its views of the weir and the Tierney suspension bridge. In keeping with all Macdonald hotels of my experience, a stay here will always be a pleasure. Staff appear to automatically give that little extra, as though they genuinely care that your day goes as well as possible. We stayed here for a planned special occasion, and had looked at a number of other hotels in the area before choosing the Angler. When visiting to book we were shown all of the best rooms available to choose from. Although obviously expensive, all were beautiful, characterful, and also highly individual.
